Free Community Acupuncture
FREE ACUPUNCTURE WITH LAUGHING TAO
As part of our nonprofit activities, this summer we are offering free acupuncture to anyone in need in Peoria at Soulside Healing Arts. There is no sign-up required. Simply walk in and say hello! You will be asked to sign a consent form to receive treatment.
WHAT IS COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE - & HOW CAN IT HELP?
Acupuncture overall is a very powerful healing modality that addresses the symptoms of illness, as well as the root cause of the disease. Community acupuncture is a cost-effective way for people to receive the holistic care they need, and community acupuncture clinics have been established globally to support underserved or impoverished areas.
Community acupuncture can treat anything a one-on-one appointment can treat, with the added benefit of being in a group healing setting, surrounded by neighbors, friends, and a supportive environment. At Laughing Tao, we are excited to announce that soon we will be able to provide community acupuncture multiples times at our home-based clinic. Stay in touch by signing up for our newsletter!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Community acupuncture is given in a public setting. We ask you a few questions, and look at your tongue and take your pulse. Then we will insert 5 to 7 needles on your lower legs, feet, arms, hands, or neck and scalp. You will not remove your clothing for treatment, though we do ask you wear shorts, t-shirts, or loose fitting clothing. There will be yoga mats and chairs for you to rest on during your treatment - though if you prefer your own mat or cushion, please bring it. Treatments are 10 to 15 minutes long.
