Reiki Classes
Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki is a spiritual healing art that uses touch to connect to others and yourself energetically. Reiki was discovered and developed in the 1920's by Usui Mikao Sensei, a Buddhist monk. Through this art, practitioners meditate and align their spirit, and in addition become more aware of the energy flowing in and around them. It is this awareness that allows for energy to be rebalanced and restored.
Glenn is a Reiki Master and teacher at Laughing Tao, and has been teaching Reiki since 2003. His over 25 combined years of experience as an acupuncturist, as well as qi gong and jujutsu instructor, has formed him into an understanding, compassionate and thoughtful teacher.
In these Shoden, or first level, teaching of Reiki, students will learn the history of Reiki and its overlap with Chinese Medicine, how to cultivate Reiki in daily life, and how to apply this healing energy to themselves. The upcoming second and third degree classes go further into this art, enabling students to work on others ethically and safely.
