Laughing Tao Acupuncture is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. Our wish is to be able to provide holistic care and education to our surrounding communities.

Pay It Forward Fund

Pay It Forward makes it possible for us to partner with local organizations and provide acupuncture free of cost to underserved members of our community, including veterans, amputees, victims of domestic violence, and others. 10% of every  acupuncture appointment that is not a sliding fee scale treatment is funneled into this fund. 100% of the donations and missed appointment fees we receive are also funneled back into our Pay It Forward program.

Through Pay It Forward, in 2023 we have been able to participate in multiple events open to the community and provide free acupuncture services for those in attendance.

Free Acupuncture

Through the Pay It Forward program, we are able to offer free community acupuncture throughout the year. For our current offerings, please visit our Free Acupuncture page.

Sliding Fee Scale Acupuncture Treatments

​

We offer Sliding Fee Scale services for those experiencing financial hardship. Sliding fee scale rates are $40 to $60 for a 60-minute appointment. A $20 deposit is still required for each appointment made. To request sliding fee scale acupuncture, please call or email us directly at 309-839-0196 or info@laughingtao.com.

Please note that starting July 1, 2024 the Sliding Scale rate will be $50 per treatment.

Laughing Tao is a Teaching Wellness Center

​

We have partnered with the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine to host interns in our clinic. Before sitting for board exams, acupuncture students need hundreds of hours of clinic time under supervision. We fully vet every intern to ensure their values for patient care meet our standards, and that they are far enough into their needling training to provide a great experience. If you are uncomfortable with an intern sitting in on your treatment, please let us know.
